Twice-Baked Mashed Potatoes --











INGREDIENTS


1/2 cup chopped onion


1/2 cup chopped green pepper


1 tablespoon vegetable oil


4 cups mashed potatoes (prepared with milk and butter)


1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese, divided


1/4 cup crumbled cooked bacon


1 teaspoon salt


1/2 teaspoon pepper











DIRECTIONS


In a small skillet, saute onion and green pepper in oil until tender. In a large bowl, combine the onion mixture, mashed potatoes, 1/2 cup cheese, bacon, salt and pepper. Spoon into a greased 2-qt. baking dish. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees F for 20-25 minutes or until cheese is melted.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes Secret Recipe --








';This is my secret recipe for Garlic Mashed potatoes, reverse engineered from a certain Italian restaurant. This recipe for 100 servings, I usually cut it down to 10 servings (1 5lb bag of potatoes). I guarantee that these are the best potatoes you've ever tasted.';

















INGREDIENTS


50 pounds unpeeled red potatoes, quartered


8 pounds butter, room temperature


3 pounds Romano cheese, grated


3 cups chopped garlic


1/2 cup salt


1/2 cup dried oregano











DIRECTIONS


Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add potatoes and cook until tender but still firm, about 45 minutes; drain. Stir in butter, cheese, garlic, salt and oregano. Mash with a potato masher or with an electric mixer. Does anyone have any good mashed potato recipes?

The Best Mashed Potatoes





1 pound Yukon Gold potatoes


1/2 cup butter


2 cups Parmesan cheese


1 cup chopped fresh chives


1 1/2 cups cream cheese


1/2 medium head garlic, peeled and minced


salt and pepper to taste








Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add potatoes; cook until tender but still firm. Drain and return to stove over low heat to dry for 1 to 2 minutes.


Add butter, Parmesan cheese, chives, cream cheese, garlic, salt, and pepper. Use a potato masher to mash until smooth, and serve.



Easy Fluffy Mashed Potatoes





2 1/2 pounds Russet, or baking potatoes, cut into 1-inch chunks, about 8 cups of cut up potatoes


1/4 cup milk or half-and-half, or more to taste


1/4 cup butter


3/4 teaspoon salt, or to taste


1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper


Place potatoes in a 4-quart saucepan or Dutch oven; bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes, or until potatoes are tender.


Drain potatoes thoroughly. For the smoothest potatoes, you can put the potatoes through a ricer at this point. Transfer to a large bowl. Add remaining ingredients to the bowl. With an electric hand-held mixer, beat potato mixture until light and creamy.


Mashed potato recipe serves 4 to 6.





Miracle Whip Mashed Potatoes





Ingredients


8-10 potatoes


salt


1/2-1 cup Miracle Whip


1/2 cup butter or margarine


1/4 cup milk


Directions


1Peel and chop potatoes.


2Boil in 4 quarts of water in till soft (about 15 minutes).


3Drain and put in large mixer on low.


4Add Miracle Whip, margarine, and milk.


5Mix until smooth.





Cheddar Cheese Mashed Potatoes





4 large baking potatoes, about 2 pounds, peeled and cut into 1-inch pieces


1 cup heated milk


2 tablespoons butter, room temperature


4 ounces shredded process American cheese


4 ounces shredded sharp Cheddar cheese


1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper


1/4 teaspoon salt


1/4 teaspoon paprika


pinch ground red pepper


Preparation:


Cook potatoes in boiling water until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain well.


Put potatoes back in saucepan; stir over low heat until dry, about 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Mash, adding about 1/2 cup milk and the 2 tablespoons butter. Add grated cheese and seasonings. Beat with a spoon, adding remaining milk until desired consistency is reached.


Cheese mashed potatoes recipe serves 4.





Mashed Potato au Gratin





7 medium-sized potatoes (slightly over 2 lbs), peeled and quartered


6 tablespoons unsalted butter


salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste


1/2 cup heavy cream, approximately


1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese, or similar grated cheese


1/2 cup fine bread crumbs


Preparation:


Cook the potatoes in boiling water until tender. Drain and dry over heat in the pan.


Put through a potato ricer into a bowl. Add the butter, salt, and pepper, and blend well. Gradually blend in the cream until you have the desired consistency. The mixture should not be too thin.





Spoon the potatoes into a shallow buttered baking dish. Sprinkle evenly with a mixture of the cheese and bread crumbs. Bake in a preheated 400掳. oven until heated through and golden on top. Or, if the potatoes are still very hot, place under broiler until golden brown.

5 lbs. Russet poatoes peeled, diced and boiled


1 quart heavy whipping cream


8 oz. butter melted





Start by mashing the potatoes while still hot


Add half the cream and the butter. Use your mixer with the whip attachment to combine, obviously start out on a low setting and work your way to a higher one.


Add salt and coarse ground black pepper to taste


If you need more creaminess then add more hot cream and rewhip
Why do you need a recipe?


Roast some garlic cloves, remove skins, %26amp; mash into potatoes.


Use milk, butter, %26amp; sour cream, any combination to your taste.


Or to reduce cholesterol, use fat-free chicken broth instead.

Put the boiled potatoes in a food processor slowly adding ALL that yummy melted butter AND buttermilk along with salt and pepper. This system gives you that wonderful, creamy, gourmet restaurant quality!

Butter, heavy cream, salt and pepper and a dash of tabasco. Use either russet potatoes or Yukon Gold, they are best for for mashed potatoes
Use heavy whipping cream instead of milk...it will make them much more creamy! I also add a touch of fake mashed potato flakes! It just makes things more simple!
Bake rather than boil.





Add butter, heave cream, garlic salt, green anion or chives, cheese and mix.
If you like the richness of the butter, try two tablespoons of mayo right at the end.
